Jamie + Anthony Married | Wequassett Resort | Summer Wedding On Cape Cod

Jamie + Anthony Married | Wequassett Resort | Summer Wedding On Cape Cod

Jamie & Anthony were married on June 30, 2019 at the gorgeous Wequassett Resort on Cape Cod.  It was a truly beautiful day every way! They chose to have a 1st look before the ceremony, they were so beautiful on the dock with blue skies & warm sunshine! We got just a little touch of rain later, but it cleared quickly & the rest of the night was just pure awesomeness!!! Here are some of my favorite wedding photos I couldn’t wait to share with everyone!

Congrats Jamie & Anthony!!! I can’t wait to see you guys again soon! xoxoxo

From the Bride & Groom:

  • When was your wedding?
    06/30/19
  • Where & How did you meet?
Anthony & I went to High School together but we first met working as counselors at a summer sports camp. He was a persistent flirter and would tell his camp kids I was his girlfriend, which was news to me! Him being three years older though he went off to college and we lost touch for 6 years until one day he came into my place of work and the rest is history! I truly believe that the timing of our relationship was meant to unfold that way. I am so grateful he walked back into my life.
  • Where do you live?
    Uxbridge, Massachusetts
  • What inspired you to have a Cape Cod wedding?
We have a vacation home in Dennis on Bayview Beach which is where we spent all our summers growing up. When Anthony & I started dating I couldn’t wait to show him around! We have created our own traditions now such as the Cape Cod Rail Trail (on a tandem bike!), Chapin’s Restaurant on Saturday night when The Slackers are playing, and walking the beach with our two Cavaliers!
  • Why did you choose / What was your favorite thing about your reception Venue (Wequassett)?
My parents & I went out to dinner at Wequassett one night, it was our first time there and I absolutely fell in love with it. I knew I always wanted to get married down the Cape but I remember thinking “this is the place, I will get married here one day!” When we got engaged we looked at several venues down the Cape but thankfully Anthony & both our parents all agreed nothing compared to Wequassett.
  • What are some of your favorite memories of your wedding day?
This is a tough question! Every thing was so perfect but being with all of our family & friends is what made the day so special. I remember the band saying how awesome it was that once they started playing, the dance floor never cleared. One of our favorite moments was getting up on stage together and belting out American Girl.
  • What were some special touches / details for your wedding day? Please include your vendors for all of these details.
For our guest book we wanted something we could put on our coffee table and look through at any time so I thought it was perfect when we came across “Dogs on Cape Cod.” I watched a video interviewing the author and she said the book was inspired by a Cavalier named Murphy. Coincidentally, I also had a Cavalier named Murphy who was my absolute best friend and passed away a year ago – this brought on instant water works! A portion of the proceeds from the book sales go to an animal shelter down the Cape so in lieu of favors we donated to the animal shelter that we adopted our fur-babies from.
  • What were your wedding colors for bridesmaids dresses and flowers. Any special wedding party gifts / favors?
The bridesmaids were in a pale blue color called “mist” and the groomsmen were in a light gray. The color of our flowers were green, white and light peach and the groomsmen boutonnieres also incorporated blue thistle. I gave my bridesmaids a pearl/diamond necklace & earring set so they could wear it that day. Anthony gave his groomsmen these personalized cooler/chairs he found on Etsy.
