Looking back at the wedding photos from Janelle + Chris’s May wedding at Sea Crest Beach Hotel makes me so happy! This was one of those weddings that you look forward to for a long time, and then the day is here and it is even better than you could imagine! Janelle was so sweet when she contacted me about photographing their Cape Cod wedding! We photographed their engagement session on Old Silver Beach, and I got to meet their beautiful dogs, Finn & Gracie! Janelle and Chris are so real, so sweet, such beautiful people and so in love!
They are the kind of people you just want to be around!
Their wedding day was amazing, full of love and laughter and the details….wow! Janelle was a stunning bride in her gorgeous Maggie Sottero gown!
She created so many beautiful details DIY (see all the details at the end of this post) and she chose Jill from Beachplum for all of the gorgeous florals, including the beautiful wedding arbor, lanterns and driftwood.
Sea Crest is an amazing place, the hotel rooms are so nice, newly renovated & comfortable with great views, the beach is incredible, the bar and outside entertainment is always perfect, the staff are all so friendly, the menu is amazing (the chowder is to die for!) and for weddings…..
Sea Crest is the perfect Cape Cod venue! And to top off having the best beach on the upper cape…..they are dog friendly!
It was so fun having Janelle and Chris’s pups be included in their wedding! #mustlovedogs

Where & How did you meet?
We met on the 4th of July at the Beach House in Falmouth! It was last call, we both went up to the bar, and he started playfully fighting with me about who could get the bartenders attention first. I let him get it so he could buy my drink, and the rest is history! -
What inspired you to have a Cape Cod wedding?
We met down the Cape. He grew up there and I spent my summers there. My late stepmother’s favorite place in Falmouth was the Sea Crest and growing up she spent the summers working there. It was a no brained to choose the venue and a beautiful tribute to her. I know she was there that day. -
Why did you choose / What was your favorite thing about your reception Venue?
Besides the sentimental value, my favorite part about our venue was just how beautiful it was to have a wedding on the beach! AND! The food! We had stations and they were all incredible- especially the pasta station!! -
What are some of your favorite memories of your wedding day?
Having my dogs walk down the aisle! -
What were some special touches / details for your wedding day?All the decor / extras were all made by me. Including – seating chart and cards, guestbook, card boxes, advice cards, sunglasses, custom fans, distressed frames, favors, flip flop baskets, invitations

What were your wedding colors for bridesmaids dresses and flowers. Any special wedding party gifts / favors?Colors were Blush. My favors were little bags I made that had Hershey kisses with paw prints and a note that said a donation had been made to KEG Animal rescue! Instead of traditional favors we made a $500 donation to the rescue we got one of our dogs from. One of my favorite details.
