Newport Beach House Wedding | Valerie + Brad | August 2018

Valerie and Brad have the sweetest love story, falling in love in high school and together ever since.  Their dream wedding on the beach in beautiful Newport Rhode Island came true on August 5, 2018.  On the perfect sunny summer day, they promised their marriage vows in front of their closest family and friends.

Valerie was a stunning bride, in her amazing lace wedding gown made by Essence of Australia.
Florals designed by Beach Plum floral were just incredible!  Bright and colorful and one hundred percent perfect! The beach arbor was decorated with white linens and colorful, tropical palms and flowers.

Valerie and Brad’s family and friends were all so happy and enjoyed a great time celebrating the newlyweds, Newport Style!  The sunset was so pretty and romantic, we had a great time on the beach taking photos and reliving their first dance.

I had so much fun working with Valerie & Brad, from their Cape Cod engagement session, through the planning and finally the ultimate, picture perfect wedding day!  Here are just a few of my favorite photographs!

Congratulations Valerie & Brad!!!! I can’t wait to see you guys again in the future!!!

From the Bride:

  • Where & How did you meet?
We met in high school, when I was a freshman and Brad was junior. Brad swept me off my feet when delivering me a hot chocolate one cold winter morning before classes started and the rest is history. =)
  • Where do you live?
    Concord MA
  • What inspired you to have a Cape Cod wedding?
We were inspired to have a Rhode Island wedding because we love the beach and the ocean. We wanted a destination wedding without flying out of the country so family and friends would be able to share our special day with us and we felt Rhode Island captured that “mini destination” vibe we were searching for.
  • Why did you choose / What was your favorite thing about your reception Venue?
We fell in love with the Newport Beach House the moment we stepped onto the property. We loved the easy access to the beach and the open concept of the terrace. Inside, we were amazed with the elegance of the venue and how it elevated the “beach vibe”, which can be difficult to find. We wanted a contemporary venue that also provided a beautiful view of the ocean and the beach.
  • What are some of your favorite memories of your wedding day?
Everything was absolutely perfect-it is so hard to choose! We loved that we did a first look, it really helped to calm our nerves and was a special moment for us to share together before the craziness of the day continued. We also loved dancing with everyone on the dance floor, our DJ Brian (Murray Hill Talent) did a fabulous job keeping the dance floor pumping with our favorite songs. We also loved going outside for our sunset pictures and dancing in the sand and reliving our first dance.
  • What were some special touches / details for your wedding day? Please include your vendors for all of these details.

Beach Plum Floral-did an amazing job with our tropical flowers. Loved how they created the arbor and then were able to bring in pieces of the arbor into the reception area, adding more color and depth to our sweetheart table, bar, etc.

I would like to say I am pretty crafty…I channeled my inner crafty Pinterest self and created almost all of the decor for our wedding.
I made the lantern centerpieces and designed/decorated/and created all of the other details of our wedding, from the ceremony decor to the escort card and guestbook tables. I designed our guestbook, decorated our card box, painted signs/letters, everything down to the pillows on the benches was inspired and/or created/designed by me.=)

  • What were your wedding colors for bridesmaids dresses and flowers. Any special wedding party gifts / favors?
Bridesmaids wore turquoise and flowers were pink/coral.
Groomsmen gifts: beer glass, beer opener, cooler, and turquoise socks for wedding day
Bridesmaid gifts: robes to get ready in, tote bag, earrings and bracelet for wedding dayWe made sea glass candy as the wedding favor for guests.
