Wendy & I had so much fun with Amy & George on Sunday! We have never attended a Greek wedding so it was extra special and amazing to photograph! The couple were married at Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Church in Pawtucket, RI. What a beautiful church and a moving ceremony that included many Greek wedding traditions such as the Service of betrothal, the blessing of the rings, lighting of candles and joining of hands, the Crowning, and the marital walk. After the ceremony they had a traditional receiving line and were able to greet each guest with a hug. The couple exited the church while the guest showered them with rice!
We went to Roger Williams Park in Providence for family and wedding party formal wedding photos at the Temple to Music. After spending some time alone with Amy and George (they were gorgeous) we were off to the reception at Providence Marriott Downtown. The couple had their first dance (the money dance) it was so fun, family and friends threw money at the couple while they danced (lots of money). The dance floor was covered! So much fun! DJ Kosta Blathras was amazing, everyone was on the dance floor. This was one of the most fun and most beautiful weddings I have photographed.
